Positive Employment Growth
Texas Job Growth Continues
Fiscal 2010 saw a positive turnaround in the Texas employment market although not back to pre-recession levels. Texas added 129,400 jobs from August 2009 to August 2010. The U.S. added 229,000 jobs.

Texas Metro Areas Add Jobs
Twenty-four Texas metro areas had positive employment growth rates from August 2009 to August 2010, up from 19 for the period from July 2009 to July 2010. Sherman-Denison ranked first in job creation, followed by San Angelo.
